When someone walks into Pope Custom Homes, Inc. to talk about building a custom home or renovating their current home, Bill Pope always gives one piece of advice: “Just feel good with whoever you decide to build.”

Pope Custom Homes is confident that people are truly going to get what they want.  Since 1990, Pope Custom Homes, Inc. has been building high quality homes, commercial buildings and renovations to existing homes in the New Bern area. After graduation from N.C. State University with a civil engineering degree, Bill focused on construction, anxious to begin seeing his finished products.

Any building associated with the Pope name means it is a superior product at completion.  All of his products are built with attention to detail while maintaining a competitive and value-oriented price.

We are just a top shelf organization; we want it done right.  That is why Pope Custom Homes, Inc. works repeatedly with the same sub-contractors who are committed to making the job run smoothly. We have a truly committed core group of people who work with us.

Pope Custom Homes, Inc. also prides itself on producing unique and individual features that are built specifically for the homeowner through use of innovative products and designs.  We use many unique products. We take the time to custom create components in houses… just because of the style of builder we are.

Pope Custom Homes, Inc. has completed new and remodeled homes in Taberna, Greenbrier, Bellefern, Trent Woods, Neuse Harbour, Fairfield Harbour, waterfront homes overlooking the Trent and Neuse Rivers, as well as office buildings such as the Edward Jones building in downtown New Bern, McCarthy Dental office, and the Blue Arbor Staffing office addition on Highway 17.

Pope Custom Homes, Inc. has won many awards from the Parade of Homes, Home Builders Association and Quality Builders Warranty Corporation for his quality workmanship and attention to detail.

Bill also is an avid supporter of giving back to the community. He continuously donates to the Craven Community College Foundation, Rotary, and New Bern High School. That is important because he believes in giving support to the community where he was raised and continues to live.
